24-hour Peace Wave 2023

08/07/2023 - 09/07/2023

➡️ www.24hourpeacewave.org ⬅️

International Peace Bureau and World BEYOND War are planning a second 24-hour Peace Wave on July 8-9, 2023. This is a 24-hour-long Zoom featuring live peace actions in the streets and squares of the world, moving around the globe with the sun.

This is just prior to an annual NATO meeting – happening in Vilnius (Lithuania) on July 10-11, 2023 – and we will take the opportunity to oppose all military alliances.

We will also take this opportunity to celebrate the anniversary of the day when Albert Einstein, Bertrand Russell, and seven other scientists warned that a choice must be made between war and human survival (09/07/1955).

How can I engage and contribute to the peace wave?

Begin by filling out the formulary at www.24hourpeacewave.org, where you will be able to:

  • propose that a peace event in your part of the world be part of the peace wave;
  • register to watch the peace wave;

If you want to know more about this worldwide initiative, watch our video with the highlights from last year here.
