April 17 – GDAMS petition signing

NDH Cameroon called on the population to sign a petition against military spending. Human rights activists and NGO representatives also signed the petition after a seminar on access to justice organised together with All Women Together.

Publication of the NDH-Cameroon final Report on GDAMS 2018. Coordinated by Cyrille Rolande Bechon, with the participation of Barbara Defo, Mbakob Murielle and Ruibarros Foadieng. The 2018 selfie campaign was marked by the active participation of Cameroonian citizens, who seized the opportunity to speak about public policies and their situation. Nouveaux Droits de l’Homme

April 12. Nouveaux Droits de l’Homme (New Rights of Man) in Cameroon held a round table discussion and launched a campaign aimed at pressuring the parliament to cut military spending and fund the ever-rising costs of basic needs. The panel focused on the global campaign against militarization, as well as on the specific military apparatus of Cameroon and the most pressing needs of the population that severely lack the minimum public funding.
