ANZAC Day Citizens’ Wreath-laying – We will be laying a wreath for civilian victims of war along with other groups who will be laying wreaths for the Afghan civilian casualties of Operation Burnham, the Surafend massacre and conscientious objectors. We are disrupting the mainstream narrative by bringing an anti-war message but not disrupting the ceremonies themselves. We aim to highlight the senselessness of war and challenge war glorification. Meet 8.30am at the Cenotaph, with the ceremony starting at 9am.
