Many thanks to all who have made our Day of Action a success so far. We’ve received wonderful write-ups and some great photographs from all over the world. In the coming days we’ll be posting them, as well as materials from a few partners who are holding further events in the coming days.
But for now, whether you’re an organizer or you visited a event and want to do more, here are a few concrete things you can do if you’ve been inspired by the day’s events:
Second, if you haven’t already, join our Google group! It serves as both our newsletter list and a forum for talking over our next steps. If you’d like a say in coordinating further actions, reports, coalitions, or policy proposals, add yourself to our list and let’s get talking!
Finally, if you’re based in the U.S., take this Code Pink Mayors’ resolution to your local mayor and ask him or her to sign on! If there are any policymakers in the U.S. who really feel the pinch of misplaced budget priorities, you’ll find them in local governments. For added fun, you can even film yourself speaking with the mayor or his or her staff.
We’re compiling more quick actions people can take right away and will be posting a special page soon. Stay tuned!
