Infographic Spanish Arms Programs

Centre Delàs of Peace Studies has prepared this infographic to draw a comparison between what has been spent in arms systems in Spain for the last two decades and what’s approved for future weapons with the cost of healtcare personnel, infrastructure and equipment, which have undergone cuts since the 2008 crisis that ammount to 20,000 million, coincidentally Spain’s military spending for 2019 according to Centre Delàs.

The Spanish GDAMS campaign calls upon the Government to cancel all new programmes of weapons approved since 2018, wich ammount to more than 13,000 million, arguing that the purchase of more jets, frigates, tanks and submarines didn’t make sense before, but even less in the current situation.
