    second that – I’d love to see where these figures for saving the world came from! very cool piece nonetheless, but these numbers would make it more trustworthy and actionable.

    There are sources at the bottom of their signs. I cant read them everytime, but there are citations.

    The stats come, in order of appearance, from the International Year of Sanitation, the UN Global Education Initiative, the World Food Summit, the World Bank, the International AIDS Vaccinne Initiative, and the UN Millennium Development Goals. The military spending figure is a slight extrapolation of last year’s calculations from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.
